Hi! I love flowers and like to work with plants. I have a large garden in the front of our home and except for the coldest months of the year, the garden has flowers constantly blooming.

I normally post photographs of my garden on my Facebook page for my friends. However, not everyone can access Facebook, so I have created this page in the bagel’s blog for anyone who is curious about my garden.

2. The deer eat everything. After years of trying different sprays and deer deterrents, my husband erected a fence that is deer proof. Our community has 2 herds of deer and my garden was one their menu every evening. The only solution was a fence the deer could not jump over or push over.

3. Once the fence was up, my garden began to thrive. Here is a photo taken in mid-summer of 2023.

4. When we erected the fence, I added a section to the garden where I could plant a bed of Hostas. The location was filled with grass and weeds. I had to work fast because deer consider Hosta plants to be salad and they were ignoring my attempts to keep them out of a bed of Hostas I had planted along the driveway, before the deer found them.
